House of Ladybirds / Ladybugs - Interesting Beetles in Malaysia

Ladybirds or ladybugs are found in temperate and tropical regions all over the world. These beetles are one of the most beneficial insects because they feed on insect pests that damage crops. 

Location : Simpang Empat, Perak, Malaysia - Northern Region 

   > The number of spots on a ladybird / ladybugs differs from species to species.






    > Hairy ladybirds / Ladybugs





    > When disturbed, ladybirds secrete a foul-smelling fluid, which causes a stain. This is called reflex- bleeding. 



    > Brightly coloured beetles ladybirds have round bodies and hard wing cases, called elytra.
