House of Mayflies

Mayflies belong to the order Ephemeroptera - ephemeros means 'one day' &  pteron means 'wing'. They are slender insects and measure up to 4cm in length. 

Location : Simpang 4, Perak, Malaysia -Northern Region 

>> Mayflies have soft, fragile bodies and also have 2 or 3 long threadlike tails.

>> Easily spotted around streams and ponds, mayflies are characterized by triangular, membranous forewings and smaller, round hind wings.
